Health Services: University Health Services assists in promoting and maintaining the health of students.
The Health Services of the University are made available to students in accordance with a statement provided by each campus, pertinent to that campus, and published in the Student Handbook. For more information on University Health Regulations refer to the Penn State Schuylkill Student Handbook , page 9-10 or on the Penn State Schuylkill Health Services Web Site .
Prior to their initial registration, all new full-time students entering the University must submit a health history on a special form provided by the University. This form is to be completed online at http://www.sa.psu.edu/uhs/basics/online_access.cfm The completed form constitutes a vital part of the student's medical record.
In addition to the "Health History" form submitted to the University, Radiologic Science students, prior to entering the Program must have a complete physical, including required immunizations, Hepatitis B vaccine, and current Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Test (PPD). This information must be provided by their physicians on the Radiologic Science Pre Entrance Medical Examination form and forwarded to the Director of Health Services at Schuylkill Campus.
Radiologic Science students enrolled in the program must have a PPD test performed annually and are responsible for submitting updated test results to the campus health office. Students that have expired PPD test results will not be permitted to continue participation in clinical education until their PPD test is updated.
Student health insurance coverage is recommended and is the responsibility of the student.
