To be eligible for scholarship consideration, students must have a completed FAFSA on file with Penn State Schuylkill. No additional application is necessary for our scholarships.
Academic Leader Award– The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by incoming freshman who are enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and a minimum combined SAT score of 1650.
Barnes & Noble Award – The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by incoming freshman who are enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and a minimum combined SAT score of 1650. The minimum amount of this award of $1000.00.
James & Edna Beach Renaissance Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to promising full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Dr. Irving M. Bonawitz Award- The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize superlative achievement by an undergraduate student who is intending to enroll in Accounting at Penn State Schuylkill. If no students intending to enroll in Accounting are eligible, consideration may be given to students intending to enroll in Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, or Astronomy.
Boscov’s Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to academically talented students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Fred & Helen Ciletti Scholarship - To recognize and attract outstanding undergraduate students who demonstrate academic achievement and leadership qualities.
Community Banks N.A. Scholarship- The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Dr. William R. Davidson Renaissance Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to promising full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Josette & Bert Evans Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and who are adult learners. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success; who have a demonstrated financial need; and, who are adult learners. First preference shall be given to students from Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
Faculty/Student Research Endowment - The purpose of this endowment shall be to enrich Penn State Schuylkill, by providing monies for support of faculty and student research.
Linda Fehr Memorial Award - The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill and pursuing a science, nursing, or medical degree in Radiological Sciences, Letters Arts and Sciences with a nursing focus, or the College of Science and who have achieved superior academic records.
First Federal Bank Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to academically outstanding students who reside in Schuylkill County and are enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, and who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
First National Bank of Minersville Award - The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill and who is from Branch, Cass, Foster or Reiley Townships in Pennsylvania, or from the borough of Minersville, Pennsylvania.
Frackville Class of ’47 Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill Campus, who lack the financial resources to meet their basic college expenses and live in the borough of Frackville, Pennsylvania.
R. Michael Fryer Memorial Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding business administration students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill Campus who has a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Bill & Katy Heckman Trustee Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool who is residents of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student in the Penn State Schuylkill eligibility pool, regardless of preference.
Ralph & Annie Heffner Scholarship – The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full- time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0). First preference shall be given to students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Roy & Deborah Heim Family Scholarship- The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who demonstrate significant financial need but do not qualify for federal grants. First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool who intend to pursue a degree in engineering. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student based on the general eligibility criteria, regardless of preference.
Isabelle Herring Memorial Fund - The purpose of this endowment shall be to enrich Penn State Schuylkill by providing monies to enhance the academic environment for faculty improvement and student scholarship by supporting their ability to respond to academic challenges and opportunities to cultivate knowledge and learning.
Burt & Louise Hetherington Agricultural Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in an agricultural major and attending Penn State Schuylkill who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
John & Patricia Hillkirk Memorial Scholarship – The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill and planning to pursue a degree in education. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who are planning to pursue a degree in education.
Jeld-Wen Award - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Wood Products major in the School of Forest Resources, College of Agricultural Sciences, at The Pennsylvania State University who has a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Wood Products major in the School of Forest Resources, College of Agricultural Sciences; have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success; have a demonstrated financial need; and are residents of Pennsylvania. Preference shall be given to incoming freshman students from Sunbury or Ringtown, Pennsylvania, which are communities in which a JELD-WEN facility is located.
John E. Morgan Trustee Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to all advanced standing/transfer students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who are graduates of a high school located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, or Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The term "advanced standing/transfer students" shall not include students transferring from another campus of the University.
Robert Kevy Memorial Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and whose address-of-record is Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. First preference shall be given equally to students majoring in Information Sciences and Technology or Engineering who have graduated from Pottsville Area High School, Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Second preference shall be given equally to students majoring in Information Sciences and Technology or Engineering who have graduated from a high school in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
Theodore & Mildred Kantner Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to academically qualified students of average ability who are attending Penn State Schuylkill and plan to continue their education at Penn State Harrisburg, The Capital College, and who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. The recipient shall be an academically qualified student of average ability, and have a proven financial need. It is the intent of the donors that the scholarship continue to the student while attending Penn State Harrisburg, The Capital College, provided that the student continues to meet the other eligibility requirements. If Penn State Schuylkill should cease to exist, consideration shall be given to students from the Penn State Schuylkill service area, who attends any campus of the University with first preference to students attending Penn State Harrisburg, The Capital College.
Baynard D. & Ethel M. Kunkel Scholarship- To recognize and assist outstanding undergraduate students enrolled at the various Commonwealth campuses of The Pennsylvania State University who have a need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. Other criteria for scholarship consideration shall be:
a. Good citizenship and evidence of leadership as demonstrated by membership in and offices held in local civic and community groups. Also, to be taken into consideration is contributions to the University and community and/or recognition by church, civic or community groups and service organizations.
b. Professional promise as demonstrated by academic standing and membership in professional honorary societies or in an academic honors program or other evidence of professional aptitude as applicable.
c. In addition, the selection committee in its personal interview with scholarship candidates shall look for evidence of mature judgment, patriotism, and loyalty.
Lisa David Schroeder Academic Leader Award - The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill. Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill who have achieved academic excellence.
M & T Bank Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing or other business related fields who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Helen Merkrantz Memorial Scholarship –
Fred & Elizabeth Miller and Family Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who demonstrate academic promise and/or who are in good academic standing. First preference shall be given to students who graduated from Nativity B.V.M. High School in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Second preference shall be given to students whose home address of record is in Schuylkill County,
Pennsylvania.
Anthony V. Miscavige, Jr. Scholarship – The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. First preference shall be given to students from Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
Mishpacha Weiss Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to academically capable undergraduate students attending Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in engineering or information sciences and technology majors at Penn State Schuylkill who are academically capable and who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students from Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
OMNOVA Solutions/Reneer Films Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to academically talented students enrolled or planning to enroll at the Penn State Schuylkill campus, who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Palko-Tellep Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at the Schuylkill Campus of The Pennsylvania State University, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students majoring in Secondary Education, Engineering, or Information Sciences and Technology, and who are residents of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
Penn State Alumni Association Trustee Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Penn State Schuylkill Campus Advisory Board Scholarship- To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill Campus, who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses
Penn State Schuylkill Campus Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in programs at the Penn State Schuylkill Campus of The Pennsylvania State University.
Penn State Schuylkill General Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in programs at the Penn State Schuylkill Campus of The Pennsylvania State University.
Phillips-Van Heusen Award - The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize superlative achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill.
John W. Rich Family Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to academically talented students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill Campus, who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Peter Michael Ritzko Memorial Award - The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill and who has overcome a physical, emotional, or financial adversity.
William E. Schneider Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students attending Penn State Schuylkill.
Lisa David Schroeder Academic Leader Award - The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill who have achieved academic excellence.
Hadley & Jefferson Zuber Slocum Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who demonstrate significant financial need but do not qualify for federal or state grants. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.
Jim & Peg Stine Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students enrolled or planning to enroll in The Pennsylvania State University at the University Park Campus or the Schuylkill Campus of the Capital College (and continue their studies as juniors or seniors at a four year Penn State Campus) who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Peter J. Swank Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill Campus who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Robert P. Swank Scholarship - To provide recognition and financial assistance to academically outstanding students enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill Campus and who have a proven need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Schuylkill Physician’s Award - The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is enrolled at Penn State Schuylkill, who intends to pursue a career in a medical field and who is enrolled in a Science major, the Radiological Technology Sciences major, or the Nursing major.
Sovereign Bank Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Susquehanna Bank Trustee Scholarship- The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool who are adult learners. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student in the Penn State Schuylkill eligibility pool, regardless of preference.
Philip and Anthony Tarone Undergraduate Scholarship -The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, Penn State Hazleton, or Penn State University Park who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool who has graduated from either Shenandoah Valley Junior/Senior High School in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania; Mahanoy Area High School in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania; or North Schuylkill Junior/Senior High School in Ashland, Pennsylvania. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student in the Penn State Schuylkill, Penn State Hazleton, or Penn State University Park eligibility pool, regardless of preference.
Tobias Family Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Roger & Betty Tobias Trustee Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Trustee Scholarship Fund for Penn State Schuylkill -The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
Wachovia Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Business Administration Program at Penn State Schuylkill. Second preference shall be given to students who reside in Schuylkill County.
Elizabeth S. & Fred J. Wiest Trustee Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Schuylkill, who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.
