Step2: The Application
We recommend future Penn State students apply for admission online. Over 90%of applicants to Penn State use the online application because it is quick, easy, and secure.
To apply online, you must create a MyPennState account. Your MyPennState account is your identity within the system through the application process and it offers a variety of services that will assist you through the application process such as:
- Applying Online
- Printing an Online Worksheet
- Receiving customized messages and checking the status of your application
- Setting up Campus Visits
- Requesting Paper Information via US Mail
- Checking how AP/IB or transfer college courses will count with the PSU system
Once you have created your MyPennState account, make sure to remember your user ID and password. You will need this information each time you log into your application to complete additional sections, check the status of your application and to communicate with the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
