Are you an Adult Student?
If you meet one or more of the following criteria you are considered an adult student at Penn State:
- Returning to school after four or more years of employment, homemaking, or other activity
- 24 years of age or older
- Assuming multiple adult roles such as parent, spouse/partner, employee, and student
- Veteran of the armed services
- Active duty service member

At Penn State Schuylkill the classes are small, but the opportunities are BIG. Our average class size is 19 and faculty members know students by name. At the same time you have access to all the resources of a Big Ten research institution including: research opportunities, internships, career services, state of the art facilities and awarding winning faculty!
Adult students also appreciate the one on one attention from staff members outside of the classroom experience from personalized attention in the admissions process, to assistance with filing financial aid paperwork, academic advisers specializing in adult students, to adult student clubs/organizations.
Penn State Schuylkill also offers a wide variety of academic programs. Students at our campus can start the first two years of over 160 degree programs in the 2+2 program (starting 2 years at Penn State Schuylkill and then completing 2 years at another Penn State campus). Penn State Schuylkill also offers baccalaureate and associate degree programs which can be completed right here at Penn State Schuylkill.

- Daily Visits Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday @ Schuylkill (offered once a month with appointment times at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.)
