  • Penn State Schuylkill has a wide range of offerings including non-credit courses, professional certifications, Penn State certificates, and graduate-level courses for professionals. 
  • We also offer professional development opportunities for educators including Act-48 credits and courses for school nurses.
  • The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission has approved Penn State Schuylkill to offer courses for licensed professional Real Estate Agents that fulfill CEU requirements.

Bachelor of Science Degree for Registered Nurses

The Pennsylvania State University School of Nursing RN to B.S. in Nursing program is delivered entirely at Penn State Schuylkill. Following completion of an associate degree or diploma program, such as the The Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing at Schuylkill Health RN diploma program, graduates are eligible to take the Nursing Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). After you have successfully passed the NCLEX-RN examination (or if you are already a registered nurse), you are an ideal candidate for this program.

Penn State's Nurse Management Certificate Program

Looking for something that will set you apart from the other registered nurses on the career ladder? The Penn State Nurse Management Certificate delivered through Continuing Education will give you the tools you need to be successful in mid-level managerial nursing positions. 

NURS 430 Organization and Administration for the Nurse Manager (3 credits) - Introduction and organizational theory and principles of practice in the administration of nursing services and patient care.  

NURS 431 Data Management for Nurse Managers (3 credits) -Analysis of information systems to manage nursing service organizations; includes financial management, the budgeting processes, and productivity measurement. 

NURS 432 Nursing Management of Human Resources (3 Credits) - Human resource management and related factors in nursing service organizations.  

NURS 433 Seminar for Nurse Managers (3 credits) - The course focuses on the application of management principles in the role of the nurse manager.

Real Estate CEU Courses

Penn State Schuylkill is approved by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission to offer courses for CEU requirements for licensed professional Real Estate Agents.

If your company is looking to offer courses for CEU's for your agents and staff, the two below courses are already approved and we can also create custom courses and submit them to the PA Real Estate Commission for approval and then offer them on-site at your location or at our campus.

Currently approved Real Estate CEU courses:

Short Sale Success - This course will teach you how to counsel sellers facing foreclosure, how to list a short sale property and many other issues involved with a short sale.  Approved for 3.5 hours in continuing education credits.

The Devil is in the Details - This class will cover the basic contractual issues of the listing agreement, buyer agency contract, agreement of sale, and many other forms from the PAR form library.  Approved for 3.5 hours in continuing education credits.

Spanish Language Skills

Penn State Schuylkill offers courses for those who interact with Spanish-speaking employees in the workplace, and who are seeking basic conversational Spanish skills for use in their day-to-day communications. It is expected that participants will have no Spanish training or limited Spanish education that has been forgotten.

Who should attend? Managers, supervisors, classroom educators, health-care practitioners and other professionals would benefit from these courses, as well as individuals who want to learn the language…whether it be it for travel, work, or awareness.
