Penn State Schuylkill students donate to Salvation Army
Penn State Schuylkill students recently donated unwanted items (1/2 of a large truck) to the Salvation Army, during the week of May 2-6. The students, who were living in the on-campus Nittany Apartments left there unwanted items in the community room of Nittany V as they departed on their summer break.
Jerry Balara, administrator of adult rehabilitation center, Salvation Army, Wilkes-Barre Regional Center commented,
"On behalf of the Salvation Army I do want to say thank you very much for the recent donation of clothing and miscellaneous items," said Jerry Balara, administrator of the adult rehabilitation center at the Salvation Army's Wilkes-Barre Regional Center. "The items will be used for direct support and activity of the beneficiaries of the adult rehab center and the need of our clients who shop our thrift stores. We look forward to continue clothing drives in the future. We believe this to be a very important part of our mission and we will be happy to work with Penn State Schuylkill on future endeavors."
