Penn State Schuylkill, a campus of The Pennsylvania State University, provides the academic opportunities of a Big Ten University with an international reputation in a setting as intimate and comfortable as that of a small college. For students who treasure the outdoors, the famous Hawk Mountain Sanctuary and recreational possibilities of the Pocono Mountains are nearby. At Penn State Schuylkill you can complete the first two years of more than 160 Penn State bachelor’s degree programs or earn one of four associate degrees. There are also five baccalaureate degree programs available for students who want to earn a bachelor’s degree without leaving Penn State Schuylkill. Faculty

Faculty members at Penn State Schuylkill are leaders in teaching, research, and creative pursuits. Helen Hendy, associate professor of psychology, promotes learning with her entertaining lectures and by involving students in research projects.

An average of nineteen students per class allows our faculty to interact personally with students. Our instructors also serve as academic advisers and mentors. Throughout your time at Penn State Schuylkill, a personal adviser will help you identify and achieve your academic and career goals.

Student Aid

As a land-grant university of Pennsylvania, Penn State University receives appropriations from the state legislature. Activities and Sports

Penn State Schuylkill offers more than thirty student organizations, seven varsity sports (baseball, soccer, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, softball, and golf) and intramural athletic groups. The Student Government Association represents students with the campus administration. A well-equipped fitness center is a popular place for students to gather and the gymnasium has several open recreation periods each week.
