There are three main forms of public transportation that stop on the campus. The student shuttle, Schuylkill Transportation System (STS) which serves Schuylkill County and Bieber Tourways that provide service outside of the county.
Penn State Schuylkill - Student Shuttle
The Penn State Student Shuttle is a free service for current students funded through the Student Activities Fee. You need only present your student ID upon entering the shuttle-van. The shuttle is intended to be a suppliement to the county STS route.
The shuttle drivers will be unable to alter the posted route or the scheduled times. We also remind all students that the University's Code of Conduct is in effect while on the shuttle, as well as, that you follow the Penn State Principles during your travels.
Schuylkill Transportation System
The Schuylkill Transportation System (STS) Fixed Route Bus System operates Monday to Saturday with various starting times No service is provided on Sundays. Wheelchair Accessibility is provided on the fixed route bus system to all physically-challenged individuals. For details, call the STS office. No service is provided on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Transfers for riders continuing their ride on a connecting route are available when boarding the first bus. The transfer allows a discount of 50 cents from the fare on the connecting route. Transfers are invalid for a return trip on the same route and must be used on the day of purchase. Frequent Rider discounted bus fares are available. Discounted STS bus passes are available for purchase in the Office of Student Affairs, Health & Wellness Building, Room 209.

Tickets can be purchased in teh Office of Student Affairs, Health & Wellness Building, Room 209. All on campus sales are cash only. All sales on the bus are exact change, cash only.
Bieber Tourways runs regularly Scheduled service from Washington, D.C. to Syracuse ad to Reading, Philadelphia, and New York City.
