At Penn State Schuylkill, we are proud to offer a world-class Penn State education in a small college setting. Penn State Schuylkill offers a variety of educational pathways. You will have the opportunity to complete your baccalaureate degrees in one of our academic programs of distinction, or you can pursue the first two years of study leading to more than 160 Penn State bachelor's degree programs available throughout the Commonwealth, including those at University Park and other Penn State campuses. In addition, we offer a number of associate degree programs designed to meet your professional goals.
Outside the classroom, students will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of experiential activities designed for personal growth. These enriching experiences are designed to prepare you for the increasingly competitive and interconnected global society. Penn State Schuylkill students will have the opportunity to become immersed in a myriad of co-curricular activities that include: more than thirty student clubs/organizations, intercollegiate athletics and intramural sports, community service and civic engagement, student leadership, and student theatrical and choral productions. In addition, students will have the opportunity to attend programs that educate, entertain, enlighten and enhance their overall college experience.
Located near Schuylkill Haven in east central Pennsylvania, Penn State Schuylkill is within a two to three hour drive to major cities, including Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, it is one of Penn State's most beautiful campuses, with a tree-lined mall, rolling lawns, and historic buildings equipped with the latest learning technologies. The world famous Hawk Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary, the Appalachian Trail, and scenic state parks are nearby for students who love the outdoors.
Through our Office of Continuing and Distance Education, the Schuylkill campus offers credit and customized noncredit training programs for business, industry, schools, government, and other employers. We also offer short courses for individuals seeking to improve their workplace skills or advance their knowledge.
